Background

Iain joined Development Counsellors International with a degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania. While at Penn, Iain worked with several media outlets in print, radio and television on and off-campus including WXPN Radio in Philadelphia and NBC in New York.

Iain's Passion for Places

Iain spent more than a year living abroad in his father’s home country of the United Kingdom, including stays in London, Glasgow and St. Andrews. In addition, his international travels have taken him to countries, including Italy, Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain and the Dominican Republic.

Before joining DCI, Iain was convinced by his travels that everywhere in the world had at least one great thing to offer. With even more experience traveling around the country and experiencing more places with DCI, Iain is convinced there’s even more than that. Whether it’s the natural landscape, unique tourist attractions, rich history or other world-class features, Iain has found that places and the people that occupy them are what make the world great.

Notable Results

• To promote the city’s business climate to an international market, Iain helped coordinate a press trip to Phoenix featuring more than a dozen journalists from outlets across Europe and Asia, resulting in more than a dozen articles totaling more than $100,000 in advertising equivalency.

• During the CoreNet Global conference, Iain helped arrange face-to-face meetings for United Kingdom Trade & Investment with top site selectors and corporate executives to enhance the nation’s standing among America’s top decision makers.

• Iain contributed to a variety of media outreach resulting in client appearances on "Fox & Friends" and Bloomberg News and in print outlets, including Inc., Financial Times and The Economist.
